Aspenia Italia

I was tasked with creating a series of editorial illustrations for Aspenia, the quarterly journal of the Aspen Institute Italia focused on international affairs, economics, and foreign policy. For the Battaglie per l’Europa issue, I translated complex political and economic themes into visuals that added a layer to the publication’s narrative.

The Ukraine Effect : The New European Geopolitics
My challenge was to craft imagery that remained free of bias, yet evocative to reflect themes surrounding tensions around European integration, post-colonial alignments, and shifting global power structures.
Some of the key themes in this issue included: Geopolitical Tension, The Impact of the Russian-Ukranian War, The Fiction of the Global South and Economic Struggle, European Integration and the Rise of Populism and Global Competition.
